Clunking from front when braking hard, but not all the time (5 อ่าน)

I've got a 2016 BMW 428i Gran Coupe and I'm dealing with an intermittent clunk from the front driver side. It only happens when I brake moderately hard, like coming off the highway at an exit ramp. I don't hear it during normal gentle braking or over bumps. A friend suggested it might be worn control arm bushings or a loose brake caliper. I've had the brakes checked and the caliper bolts are tight, pads and rotors are fine. The car has 120k km on it and I think the original control arms are still on there. I'm looking for an Accomplished Control Arm Service that can actually diagnose whether it's the thrust arm bushing or the lower control arm. Has anyone here had a clunk only on braking on an F32 and found it was the tension strut bushings? Also wondering if a worn sway bar link could make a noise only under braking. I don't want to just throw parts at it. Any advice on what to check first or a good shop in Abu Dhabi that won't rip me off would be great. Thanks.
