Anyone used a local operator for a Golden Triangle + Rajasthan trip? (4 อ่าน)

We just got back from a 12-day North India trip covering Delhi, Agra, and Rajasthan, and a few people here were asking about reliable local operators, so wanted to share. We went with TTI Tours, a Delhi-based company, mainly because they were willing to build the itinerary around what we actually wanted instead of pushing a fixed package. We added a couple of extra nights in Jodhpur and swapped one city for a smaller heritage town, and they adjusted the quote without any hassle. Highlights: the Taj Mahal at sunrise (worth setting the alarm for), a camel safari at the Sam sand dunes outside Jaisalmer, and staying in a converted haveli in Udaipur that was honestly better than some hotels we've paid more for elsewhere. Every stop had a driver and local guide waiting, and both were genuinely knowledgeable rather than just reciting a script. Pricing-wise it was mid-range, not the cheapest option we found, but nothing felt cut-corner. Communication before and during the trip was solid too, which mattered since we were juggling internal flights between cities. If you're weighing whether to DIY a Rajasthan itinerary or use an operator, I'd lean toward using one just for the logistics alone. Happy to answer questions if anyone's planning something similar.
